The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has announced plans to reopen the Islamic Library and establish libraries in all Islamic centres across the country.

Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, confirmed on Monday that the former Islamic Library, once located at the Islamic Centre and recognised as the largest Islamic library in the country, has been closed for nearly a decade.

The Minister revealed that efforts are now underway to revive the library, which will be relocated to the Salman Centre. He stated that the new Islamic Library is scheduled to open in May, with all necessary preparations currently in progress.

In addition, the Minister announced that libraries will be established in every Islamic Centre nationwide, with the aim of completing the initiative within the year.
