Four individuals have been arrested in connection with the assault of a house owner in Malé City, with the court ordering their continued detention.

The suspects, identified as Ali Nawaf, 21, Thaa Guraidhoo; Mohammed Azan, 23, Noonu Manadhoo; Ibrahim Ahunaf, 21, Noonu Velidhoo; and Mohamed Aflah, 23, from Alifu Alifu Maalhos, were initially remanded in judicial custody for 15 days. Following a second court appearance, their detention was extended for another 15 days.

According to the court's detention order report, the four men claimed they had visited the property to clean it, stating that a friend was occupying the premises. They also denied causing any damage to the property.

Despite these claims, videos circulating on social media depict the landlord being physically assaulted, raising concerns over the severity of the incident.
