BroadCom membership applications open

The Maldives Broadcasting Commission (BroadCom) has invited applications for membership following the upcoming expiration of terms for two current members. 

The announcement was made by the President's Office on Monday, with applications open until 12:00 PM on Tuesday, 26 November 2024.

Interested candidates are required to meet specific eligibility criteria:

Applicants must not hold a position that is either elected or appointed under the Constitution or laws of the Maldives.They must not be employed in the civil service or hold any role within a Government or State-owned enterprise. Candidates should not have financial interests in communication or broadcasting sectors.

Application forms, along with necessary documents such as affidavits and crime and loan clearance records, will be accepted by the President’s Office from 08:30 to 12:00 on all working days during the application period.

Forms are available for collection from the President’s Office reception or can be downloaded directly from the official website.

BroadCom plays a pivotal role in regulating and overseeing the broadcasting landscape of the country, making this an opportunity for qualified individuals to contribute to the growth and integrity of the industry.
