Vice President Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef has commended efforts to strengthen Quranic education in the Maldives, describing it as a “joyful sight.”

In a post on X, he congratulated individuals who successfully completed the Hifz programme and highlighted the importance of raising a generation that prioritises religious values. He noted that it was encouraging to see young Maldivians embracing religious studies and praised President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s efforts to foster a society that values the Holy Quran.

The Vice President also prayed for continued guidance in faith, seeking the blessing of steadfastness in Islam.

This year’s Hafiz graduates come from across the Maldives, with some achieving the milestone at remarkably young ages. Zalaf bin Nafiu and Mus'ab Bin Faisal memorised the entire Quran at just 12 years old, while others completed the programme between the ages of 13 and 23.
