The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has formalised an agreement to establish an immigration office in Haa Alifu Uligamu, a development aimed at enhancing services for visiting yachts.

The agreement was signed by MTCC Managing Director Ahmed Saudhy and Immigration Controller Ahmed Faseeh. With Uligamu being a key destination for yachts, the new facility is expected to strengthen immigration services for tourists arriving by sea.

Authorities have not disclosed the cost or timeline for the completion of the project. However, the initiative is seen as a step towards expanding and improving immigration services in the region.
