President Dr Mohamed Muizzu engaged with Football for Peace during his official visit to the United Kingdom.

He was welcomed by Co-Founder and former professional footballer, Kashif Siddiqi, and CEO of Bradford City of Culture 2025, Shahnaz Gulzar.

During the visit, the President was briefed on the organisation’s initiatives promoting social inclusion and community development through football. He also toured the football pitches, interacting with young players and observing how the organisation uses sport to unite communities.

Founded in 2013, Football for Peace is an international NGO supported by the United Nations Office for Sport for Development and Peace. The initiative uses football to teach youth leadership, conflict resolution, and teamwork, running programmes that equip children, coaches, and leaders with essential life skills. Its global efforts continue to foster peace and understanding through sports diplomacy.
