The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, Dr Abdulla Khaleel, has extended a congratulatory message to the newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Vijitha Herath.

In his message, Minister Dr Khaleel expressed his best wishes to the Minister on his appointment to the role.

Minister Dr Khaleel emphasised that Maldives cherishes the long-standing close relations between the two nations, and added that he looked forward to working closely with the Minister to enhance this bilateral relationship.

The message was concluded by conveying best wishes for the continued peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of Sri Lanka.
