President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has reinstated No. 9 Rosemont Avenue, London, as the headquarters of the Maldivian Students’ Association–UK (MSA-UK).
The property, which previously served as both accommodation and a community hub for Maldivian students, was repurposed for diplomatic use by the Maldivian High Commission in 2019. As of Friday, it has returned to its original function as a student accommodation and hub registered under the MSA-UK.
This decision highlights the Government’s commitment to student welfare and empowering Maldivians abroad, offering students both a renewed sense of ownership and a central hub for collaboration and support.
On Friday, President Dr Muizzu met with Maldivian students in Leeds at a luncheon, where he listened to their concerns, discussed their academic journeys, and reassured them of his Administration’s dedication to addressing the challenges they face.
During his visit to the United Kingdom, the President also met with Maldivian students living in Liverpool.
