44 international airlines now flying to Maldives

According to the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, a total of 44 international airlines are currently operating flights to the Maldives.
The Ministry revealed this in their tourism update report.
According to this report airlines from Europe, the Middle East, and Asia are currently operating flights to the Maldives bringing the total to 44 international carriers with more carriers expressing their interest in operating flights to the Maldives.
According to the statistics, as of April 2, 647,677 tourists visited the Maldives, a 5.2 percent increase compared to last year. So far this year China remains the top market accounting for 11.6 percent of all tourist arrivals, followed by Russia with 10.6 percent.
Statistics show that of the tourists who arrived this year, 69.4 per cent stayed at resorts, 25.2 per cent stayed at guesthouses, 2.9 per cent at hotels, and 2.5 per cent at Safaris.
The Maldives has 1,201 tourist accommodation facilities, with a total bed capacity of 65,561. Of these 97.3 per cent are currently in operation.
