Shifla Ibrahim has been elected Vice President of the Maldives Broadcasting Commission.

The Broadcasting Commission welcomed Shifla for her newly appointed position today. Shifla was appointed as a member of Broadcom in 2021. 

Shifla served the state media, the TV Maldives for a long time, becoming one of the prominent figures in the Maldives broadcasting industry. 

During her time, Shifla served as a journalist, TV host, and news anchor for many years. 

The post of the Vice President of Broadcom became vacant after the resignation of former VP Mohamed Fazeen. He resigned while being investigated for a case of sexual harassment involving a female Broadcom employee.
