The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has advised Maldivian travellers heading to Thailand to complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card, following a change introduced by Thai immigration authorities.

According to the new requirement, which took effect on April 10, 2024, all travellers must complete the online arrival form within three days prior to the start of their journey.

The Ministry clarified that this procedural update does not affect visa arrangements or travel policies between the Maldives and Thailand. Maldivian passport holders will continue to enjoy 90-day visa-free entry to Thailand.

Travellers are therefore advised to submit the Thailand Digital Arrival Card online before departing the Maldives to ensure smooth entry into Thailand.
