President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has announced the launch of a comprehensive nationwide campaign aimed at enhancing public awareness of road traffic regulations across the Maldives.

The initiative, reflecting the Government’s strong commitment to road safety, was approved during a Cabinet meeting held on Sunday, following a formal proposal submitted by the President. It seeks to foster greater compliance with traffic laws and promote responsible road usage among the general public.

The campaign will be led by the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure, and the Maldives Police Service. 

Through this national effort, the Government aims to instil a lasting culture of road safety and accountability, safeguarding the wellbeing of all road users.
