Police recover stolen car in Hulhumalé

A car reported stolen from Hulhumalé has been recovered and returned to its owner, according to Maldives Police Service.
The vehicle was parked at approximately 11:50 p.m. on April 13, with the key remote reportedly left inside and was reported missing at 1:15 a.m. the following day.
CCTV footage from the area showed a man and a woman entering the vehicle. Acting on this evidence, police located the car shortly after, although no individuals were found inside at the time.
The police confirmed there was no visible damage to the car. The car has since been handed over to its owner, police have yet to identify the suspects involved, and the case remains under active investigation.
Authorities have once again urged vehicle owners to avoid leaving keys or valuables inside unattended vehicles.
