President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended his greetings to Maldivian doctors on the occasion of National Doctors Day, expressing appreciation for their dedication to the country’s healthcare system.

In a message marking National Doctors Day via his official X account, the President referred to healthcare providers as a “family” and highlighted their vital role in the well-being of the nation.

Additionally, the President reaffirmed that public health remains one of the Government’s top priorities, and thanked doctors across the Maldives for their continued support and contributions.

National Doctors Day is observed annually in the Maldives on April 18 to honour the dedication and sacrifices of doctors across the country. The day recognises the vital role of medical professionals in saving lives, promoting public health, and contributing to the strength and resilience of the nation’s healthcare system.
