The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has announced that it will be conducting military training exercises in the waters off the coast of Hulhumalé from April 20 to 24, 2025.

According to the MNDF, the exercises will take place daily from 6:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., approximately 7 nautical miles east of Hulhumalé. The training will involve the use of live ammunition, with bullets expected to travel up to 5,000 metres and reach a height of 300 metres.

The MNDF issues such advisories to ensure public awareness and safety during live-fire exercises.
