Two 28-year-old men have been arrested in Hulhumalé following a joint drug operation led by the Maldives Police Service (MPS).

The suspects, identified as Raif Yoosuf and Raiq Yoosuf, were taken into custody during a court-authorised search of an apartment.

The joint operation was carried out based on a tip-off and involved the Counter Narcotics Intelligence Unit, Hulhumalé Special Enforcement Team, and Phase 1 Investigation. During the raid, police discovered several items suspected to be linked to drug use and distribution.

Recovered materials include packets believed to contain drugs, a weed grinder, vapes and flavour bottles, a cutter, and a knife. The police confirmed that these items have been seized and that investigations are ongoing.
