A woman has been injured after falling onto the roof of a residential building in Henveiru earlier this morning.

The incident was reported at approximately 7:23am. Emergency responders from the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Fire and Rescue Service were dispatched to the scene and assisted in transporting the injured individual to Indira Gandhi Memorial (IGM) Hospital for treatment.

Authorities have confirmed that the injured person is a 21-year-old woman. The circumstances surrounding the fall remain unclear, including the height from which she fell and the nature of the location she fell from.

Photographs showing the woman lying on the roof have been circulating on social media. In response, the Maldives Police Service has issued a public appeal urging individuals not to share such images, citing privacy concerns.

The case is currently under investigation.
