President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Madam Sajida Mohamed attended the military parade held to commemorate the 133rd anniversary of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF).

The President presided over the ceremonial march, which began in the evening from Bandaara Koshi and stopped near the President's Office. The event was part of a series of activities marking more than a century of military service in the country.

The march took place across different roads within the capital city. As part of the display, military personnel paused at five designated locations, where the MNDF band performed traditional songs. The parade served as a platform to highlight the Armed Forces’ wide-ranging roles and contributions to national service.

This year's celebration reflects the longstanding history of the MNDF, which dates back to April 21, 1892, marking the beginning of formal military service in the Maldives.
