Students of the 71st Army basic training course, who graduated this month, have officially taken their oath. 

The Oath-taking ceremony was held during the Celebration of the 133rd Anniversary of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF). 

During the ceremony, students were officially sworn in by the High Court judge, Mohamed Niaz, and ceremonially received their firearms. 

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu formally presented the firearms to the newly sworn-in soldiers, following a formal announcement by the Vice Chief of Defence Force, Brigadier General Ahmed Ghiyas. 

MNDF revealed that 115 students graduated from the 71st basic training course, including 10 female soldiers.
