Imam of Masjid Al-Nabawi, Dr Salah al-Budair, met with President Dr Mohamed Muizzu at the President's Office, marking the first official visit by an Imam of Masjid Al-Nabawi to the Maldives in 41 years. Dr Salah al-Budair conveyed greetings from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, while expressing hope for strengthened bilateral relations between the two nations. President Dr Muizzu acknowledged Saudi Arabia's support in national development, particularly in Islamic education and hospitality extended to Maldivian pilgrims during Hajj and Umrah.
