MMTV would like to clarify that the screenshots circulating on social media, which claim to show news published by the outlet, are entirely false and fabricated.

These screenshots, which appear to display an article from MMTV’s website, falsely allege that President Dr Mohamed Muizzu gave an exclusive interview to the organisation. However, since its establishment, President Dr Muizzu has never given an interview to MMTV in any capacity, nor has he provided information for any article published by the outlet.

The public is urged to remain vigilant against the spread of misinformation on social media as sharing unverified news is both unethical and potentially harmful. As the fourth estate, media should remain independent of external influences in reporting, and the media and public alike should practice responsible circulation of verified news
