President Dr Muizzu set to visit Malaysia at invitation of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu set to undertake an official visit to Malaysia from April 27 to 30.
The President’s trip to Malaysia is on an official invitation by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim. On this official visit, he will be accompanied by a high-level delegation of the Cabinet.
This will mark the President’s first official visit to Malaysia, aimed at strengthening the longstanding close ties between the two countries.
During this visit, President Dr Muizzu will meet the Prime Minister for official talks between the two countries, exchanging views on regional and global issues, and exploring new avenues for partnership. Both leaders will witness the signing of key Memoranda of Understanding and Exchange of Notes between the Maldives and Malaysia in several strategic areas.
In addition, the President is scheduled to attend a business forum organised by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and engage with leading Malaysian investors. The President will also visit the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) and deliver a lecture.
The President is also set to engage with the Maldivian community residing in Malaysia, where he will listen to their concerns, understand their challenges, and explore ways to support and enhance their well-being, highlighting his dedication to the welfare and interests of Maldivians living abroad.
