Visit Maldives, through the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), hosted “Maldivian Evening 2025” in Dubai this week, presenting a cultural showcase at the Theatre of Digital Art (TODA), as part of its participation in the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025.
The event was attended by Minister of Tourism and Environment, along with industry professionals, media representatives, and Government stakeholders. Guests were welcomed with a Maldivian-themed reception and guided through TODA’s immersive digital spaces.
The evening featured a range of performances and exhibits highlighting Maldivian heritage. These included the screening of Dhivehi Dreams, a theatrical performance based on the folklore Dhon Hiyala & Alifulhu, and a fashion show blending traditional garments with modern design, cultural dances, musical acts, and a buffet featuring Maldivian fusion cuisine.
Interactive zones offered attendees the chance to explore Maldivian ecosystems through Virtual Reality and view demonstrations of traditional crafts. A live art performance accompanied by music was also featured.
In his remarks, Minister Thoriq noted the role of local communities and environmental sustainability in shaping the country’s tourism identity.
According to MMPRC officials, the event aimed to strengthen engagement with the Middle Eastern travel market and highlight cultural aspects of the Maldives beyond its well-known luxury tourism image.
“Maldivian Evening 2025” was held on the sidelines of ATM 2025, one of the region’s key travel and trade exhibitions.
