President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has congratulated Prime Minister of Singapore, Lawrence Wong on his significant victory in Singapore’s General election on May 3. 

In a post shared on X, President Dr Muizzu wished Prime Minister Wong success in carrying out the responsibilities and leading Singapore in this new term. 

President Dr Muizzu also expressed his interest in further strengthening the long-standing bilateral relations between the Maldives and Singapore. 

World Leaders have congratulated PM Wong on his victory and the People’s Action Party (PAP)’s return to power with 65.57 per cent of the vote. With this victory, PAP has secured 87 of 97 parliamentary seats.
