His Royal Highness Prince Fahad Saud Alshalan of Saudi Arabia paid a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Muizzu at the President’s Office on Monday.

During the call, the President highlighted the pivotal role of the Maldives International Financial Centre (MIFC) in the nation's economic diversification strategy. He acknowledged the enduring and valued relationship between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia and expressed gratitude to His Royal Highness for his visit, particularly his presence at the Joint Venture Agreement Signing Ceremony for the establishment of the MIFC between the Ministry of Finance and Planning and MBS Global Investments.  

His Royal Highness Prince Fahad Saud Alshalan affirmed his support for the Maldives' development initiatives and conveyed interest in fostering further cooperation in mutually beneficial areas. He commended President Dr Muizzu's vision for the country's advancement and indicated a willingness to strengthen bilateral relations across various sectors.

The courtesy call concluded with both leaders reaffirming their dedication to elevating the relationship between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia to greater heights.
