A 15-year-old girl who was reported missing earlier today in Hulhumalé has been found safe and in good health, according to an official statement issued by the Maldives Police Service.

The teenager was located at approximately 12:18 p.m. in Hulhumalé Phase 1. Authorities have confirmed her physical condition is stable. However, no further information has been released regarding the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.

The incident was first reported to the police at around 8:30 a.m. today. The girl, a student enrolled at a school in Hulhumalé Phase 2, had reportedly departed her residence at Tower 8 of the Hiyaa Flats with the intention of attending school. It was later confirmed by school officials that she never arrived on campus, prompting the launch of a coordinated search effort.

In response, the Maldives Police Service, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, initiated measures to locate the missing girl, mobilising relevant authorities and seeking assistance from the community.

Police investigations into the matter remain ongoing.
