Parliament has rejected a motion against the state-owned Media, PSM. 

The motion was presented to the parliament by the Opposition MDP MP, Mohamed Ibrahim. 

The motion accused PSM of failing to fulfill its duties in informing the public on key issues.

It also accused the state media PSM of serving political interests, violating its mandate. The member suspected PSM of serving the political interests of certain individuals rather than promoting equality and Justice.

In the vote on the motion, 45 members opposed proceeding with the motion, while only 12 members supported its admission.
