Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) has announced the launch of leasing opportunities for commercial spaces within the 32 towers of the 4,000 flats being developed in Hulhumalé Phase II.

Applications for these spaces will open next week, starting with Zone 1.

According to FDC, the towers will feature approximately 127 commercial units across the ground and first floors, designed to cater to various business needs and ensure essential services are conveniently located for future residents.

These units range in size from 580 to 6,200 square feet and will accommodate retail shops, supermarkets, hypermarkets, cafés, restaurants, clinics, office spaces, and dedicated areas for fruit and vegetable markets.

Rental prices will follow standard market rates. FDC has also indicated that additional space can be allocated based on tenants' specific requirements.

The leasing process will proceed in phases, beginning with the first 18 units in Zone 1, with applications for other zones to follow.

FDC emphasised that these commercial spaces aim to provide basic amenities before the flats are occupied. The towers are expected to house approximately 30,000 residents upon completion. The initiative prioritises small and medium enterprises (SMEs), with a particular focus on supporting start-ups.
