Dhiraagu has confirmed the continuation of its high-speed internet services for individuals in State care throughout 2025.

This initiative, part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, is designed to support children and families residing in safe shelters under the Ministry of Social and Family Development.

Senior company representatives recently met with Minister of Social and Family Development Dr Aishath Shiham to explore collaborative efforts aimed at improving the lives of children in state care.

The programme will deliver internet access to alternative care homes and temporary shelters across the Maldives, including key locations such as Naifaru, Fuvahmulah City, Kulhudhuffushi City, Addu City, and several atolls like Baa, Lhaviyani, and Dhaalu. Its primary aim is to promote digital inclusion while enhancing access to educational resources for children in State custody.

Dhiraagu’s CSR efforts focus on reducing the digital divide by fostering digital literacy among vulnerable groups. By ensuring reliable connectivity in these safe spaces, the programme is intended to equip children with vital skills to support their education and personal development.
