Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) is inviting public feedback on the planned redevelopment of the northern section of Boduthakurufaanu Magu in Malé into a modern four-lane road.

The feedback is being collected as part of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process for the project, which was awarded to MTCC on April 9. The MVR 144.5 million project is scheduled for completion within 455 days.

The redevelopment will cover an 830-metre stretch from the Hulhumalé Ferry Terminal to the Local Market, and will include road surfacing, pavements, and a drainage system.

MTCC said public opinion on road usage patterns will help shape the final plan. The Government also plans to upgrade roads in Malé and Vilimalé with support from the Chinese government.
