Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has announced a series of cultural and family-oriented activities for the “Eid Haveeru 1447” celebrations to be held at Hulhumalé Central Park during the Eid al-Adha holiday period.

The nationwide Eid initiative, launched under the leadership of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu to promote community spirit and togetherness, will take place from May 27 to May 29 between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. daily. According to MACL, the company will operate a dedicated activity zone featuring programmes inspired by Maldivian culture, festive traditions and family entertainment.

Traditional cultural performances including Koadi, Maali processions and Bodu Beru performances are expected to be featured as part of the celebrations, alongside a range of interactive activities arranged for children and families. The company stated that the activity zone will include inflatable games such as Wrecking Ball and Wipeout attractions, a Bubble House, henna art sessions and face painting activities.

MACL also announced that mascots inspired by internationally recognised children’s characters will appear during the three-day event, while a custom-built treehouse decorated with traditional palm fronds will be set up for children attending the celebrations. A well-known Maldivian footballer is also scheduled to make a special appearance at the company’s activity area.

According to the company, MACL’s stall will be located near the eastern entrance of Hulhumalé Central Park. The company stated that the initiative forms part of broader efforts to support national community events and create public engagement opportunities during major festive occasions.
