Controller General of Immigration, Commissioner of Police (Retired) Ahmed Faseeh, has expressed appreciation for the strong turnout of youth at the ongoing walk-in interviews for immigration officer trainees.
The Maldives Immigration is conducting walk-in interviews at Galolhu School to recruit 50 immigration officer trainees, marking the first such recruitment drive in its history. The walk-in interviews commenced at 9:00 a.m. and are scheduled to continue until 5:00 p.m. today.
Controller General, Faseeh, visited Galolhu School to observe the ongoing walk-in interviews, where he expressed satisfaction with the high level of youth participation.
In a post shared on X, Immigration stated that Controller General Ahmed Faseeh thanked the youth for their strong interest in joining the service.
Immigration revealed that the selection process will include two examinations before finalising the 50 candidates.
The newly recruited officers will undergo specialised training to serve at Velana International Airport, as MACL and Customs also ramp up hiring ahead of the new passenger terminal’s opening later this year.
