Dhiraagu has donated MVR 230,380 to support children under the care of the State, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

The donation was officially handed over to the Ministry of Social and Family Development.

In a post on X, the Ministry stated that the funds were raised through a special programme conducted by Dhiraagu during Ramadan, aimed at providing assistance to children in State care. The donation was received on behalf of the Ministry by Minister Dr Aishath Shiham at a formal handover ceremony attended by officials from both Dhiraagu and the Ministry.

Dhiraagu, one of the leading telecommunications providers in the Maldives, has made supporting children a central focus of its CSR efforts. In 2024, the company raised over MVR 600,000 to assist organisations working with children and waived monthly internet fees for care homes to improve access to education for children under state care.
