MNU awards over mvr 259,000 in grants for research and book writing

The Maldives National University (MNU) has awarded MVR 259,200 in financial assistance for academic research and book writing.

The grants are available to MNU postgraduate students, higher education candidates, and university staff. The initiative aims to foster a robust research culture and promote policymaking grounded in innovation and scientific evidence.

As part of this year’s allocation, MNU awarded three Research Grants and one Book Grant. The support is intended to encourage scholarly work across diverse academic disciplines.

Recipients of the MNU Research Grants and their topics:

  • Asiya Ibrahim – Develop and Evaluate the Effectiveness of a Mobile App for Acquisition of Triage Knowledge and Skill in Undergraduate Nursing Students
  • Bathool Zahoor Qazi – Investigation of the Use, Attitude and Adoption of Generative AI in Teaching and Learning Law in the Maldives: A Mixed Method Study
  • Mariyam Hudha – Navigating the Future: Insights on Telenursing from Undergraduate Nursing Students in the Maldives

Book Grant recipient:

  • Ibrahim Adam – Data Analysis and Interpretation with SPSS Assistance: Step-by-Step Action
