The Maldives Police Service has launched an investigation into a violent altercation in Fuvahmulah City that left an 18-year-old man with serious facial injuries, including a broken nose and mouth.

According to a police spokesperson, the case was reported at 8:54 p.m. on Tuesday. The victim sustained multiple injuries, including swelling on the right cheek and other minor wounds. He has since been transferred to Addu City for further medical treatment.

Police have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing. In a public appeal, the police urged the public to refrain from violence and to respect the law. They also encouraged anyone with information related to such incidents to report it to the Police immediately.
