The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has announced the launch of a Liverpool FC Fan Zone at the upcoming Maldives Food Carnival 2025.

The event is scheduled to take place from June 25 to June 28 at Central Park in Hulhumalé.

The Fan Zone is being introduced as part of a partnership between MMPRC and Liverpool FC, and is aimed at engaging football fans and families through a variety of interactive activities and branded experiences.

According to MMPRC, the Fan Zone will include a 3x3 football pitch for mini-games, a foosball area, penalty shot stations, 1v1 football matches, and seated challenges. Winners of these activities will receive special giveaways. Visitors will also have access to a video booth to record messages, photo opportunities with life-sized player cutouts, and Liverpool FC media content displayed on a large screen.

A key highlight of the event will be a visit from former Liverpool player Dirk Kuyt on June 26. Additionally, two official Liverpool FC jerseys will be given away during the course of the carnival.

The Maldives Food Carnival, which drew over 30,000 attendees and featured 68 exhibitors in 2024, will return this year with expanded zones. These include a Food Arena, Food Expo, Food Street, Arts & Crafts Market, and Activity Zone. Organisers are expecting high turnout again this year, with the event continuing to promote culinary variety and community engagement.
