Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Disanayaka will arrive in the Maldives on 28 July for a three-day state visit, at the invitation of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.

The visit, scheduled from 28 to 30 July, marks President Disanayaka’s first state visit to the Maldives since assuming office in September 2024.

The two leaders are expected to hold formal talks focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The visit also coincides with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Sri Lanka, established on 26 July 1965.
