Ministry of Cities reviews progress for first half of the year

The Ministry of Cities, Local Government, and Public Works has held the Aharu Medhu Muraajaa (mid-year performance review) meeting to evaluate its work during the first half of the year.
The review meeting was attended by staff from all sections of the Ministry, who presented on the progress achieved and challenges encountered over the past six months.
Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Minister of Cities, Local Government, and Public Works Adam Shareef Umar reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to delivering quality public services despite existing challenges. He urged staff to prioritise the quality and completeness of the tasks they undertake.
The Minister noted that the new initiative to review the Ministry’s work every six months would help enhance operations and improve service delivery. He also highlighted the importance of implementing daily reporting of staff activities to ensure the smooth delivery of public services.
Minister Adam Shareef further stated that efforts are underway to introduce an award system to recognise and appreciate the dedication and hard work of the Ministry staff.
