Applications have reopened for membership in the Civil Service Commission (CSC) as the terms of three sitting members near completion.

Eligible individuals may submit their applications until 12:00 p.m. on 12 August 2025.

According to the President’s Office, applications will be accepted on working days from 08:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. until the deadline. Forms can be downloaded from the official website of the President’s Office.

The Civil Service Commission currently comprises five members: President Mohamed Nasih, Vice-President Mohamed Mujthaz, and members Mohamed Farsath, Fathimath Shareef, and Fathimath Habeeba. The terms of Commission President Nasih and members Farsath and Shareef are due to expire, prompting the call for new applications.

Under current procedures, members of the Civil Service Commission are appointed by the President following parliamentary approval from a list of eligible applicants. Each appointee serves a term of five years.
