The national carrier, Maldivian, has launched a promotional campaign offering special fares for flights from Malé to three major Chinese cities.

In a press release, the airline announced that discounted return tickets will be available for Shanghai, Beijing and Chengdu. The promotion applies to travel between 28 October and 15 November.

Under the offer, return tickets to Shanghai and Beijing are priced at 499 USD each, while Chengdu is available at 449 USD. The airline noted that the fares are intended to be affordable in order to encourage greater travel between the Maldives and China.

To further enhance convenience for passengers, the schedule has been designed to ensure flights from Malé depart at night and arrive in China in the morning. Return flights have also been arranged to land in the Maldivian capital in the morning, making onward travel easier for passengers.

In addition to these benefits, Maldivian passport holders will be eligible for a 30-day visa-free entry on arrival in China.
