Malé Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) Managing Director Abdul Matheen Mohamed has assured that the 4,000 housing units being developed by Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) in Hulhumalé Phase II will have seamless access to water and sewerage services.

Interior and finishing works are currently ongoing in all the towers, with utility connections such as electricity, water, and sewerage among the most important tasks being finalised.

Speaking to State media, MD Matheen said work is underway to strengthen the water and sewerage network in the newly settled areas of Hulhumalé to ensure residents can move into their flats without difficulty.

Matheen explained that connections to the towers are being coordinated with the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) and FDC, while apartment-level links are also being completed and tested. He added that MWSC has set up a special stall near the flat handover area to assist recipients with form submission, registration, and other services, making the process more convenient.

According to FDC, agreements for 2,955 out of 3,070 allocated flats had been signed as of 5 September. The corporation said it is working to finalise contracts with all 4,000 beneficiaries of the scheme and urged applicants to ensure their documentation is complete in order to speed up the process.
