The National College of Policing and Law Enforcement held its graduation ceremony for three training programmes on 7 September at the Iskandhar Building.
During the event, certificates were presented to participants of the 12th and 13th Certified Trainer Courses, as well as the 5th Scene of Crime Officers Basic Course. Memorial plaques were also awarded to those who excelled in their respective fields of study.
Inspector of Police Ibrahim Ali was named the top graduate of the 12th Certified Trainer Course, while Senior Sergeant Alaau Mohamed earned the same distinction in the 13th course. In addition, Sgt Ahmed Nihad was recognised as the leading participant in the 5th Scene of Crime Officers Basic Course.
The ceremony was attended by Assistant Commissioner of Police Ahmed Abdul Rahman, who also serves as Executive Director of the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement.
In total, 51 employees completed the courses. The participants represented a wide range of institutions, including the Maldives Police Service, National Integrity Commission, Human Rights Commission of Maldives, Maldives Immigration, Maldives Customs Service and Maldives Correctional Service.
As explained by the College, the Certified Trainers Course is designed to strengthen teaching capacity within the police service. The programme seeks to enhance officers’ instructional skills, enabling them to deliver training more effectively across various educational initiatives conducted by the force.
