The Maldives Police Service has seized 23 sachets of suspected drugs from the Kanneli Jetty area in Hulhumalé Phase 1.

Police said the discovery was made on 8 September during a patrol, following a tip-off.

Officers stopped and searched suspects after observing suspicious behaviour in the area, and later found the sachets hidden inside a dock fender at the jetty.

No arrests have been made so far, and the case remains under investigation.
