The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been contracted to carry out land reclamation and shore protection in Lhaviyani Naifaru for MVR 679.03 million, with completion set for 630 days. The project aims to ease the island’s housing shortage and create space for industrial development. MTCC was also awarded the contract to develop Naifaru harbour on the same day.
