President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has returned to Malé after completing a two-day visit to all inhabited islands of Lhaviyani Atoll and three islands of Kaafu Atoll.

During the tour, he visited Hinnavaru, Naifaru, Kurendhoo, and Olhuvelifushi in Lhaviyani Atoll, as well as Kaashidhoo, Dhiffushi, and Thulusdhoo in Kaafu Atoll. The President met with Island Councils, Women’s Development Committees, and residents to discuss development priorities and community needs.

Accompanied by Cabinet Ministers and senior officials, the President oversaw the signing of development agreements and the launch of projects in housing, education, health, and infrastructure. He also announced that the 2026 budget will prioritise healthcare and strengthen councils’ capacity to deliver services.

With this visit, President Dr Muizzu has fulfilled his pledge to visit every inhabited island in the Maldives within his term.
