Vice President Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef has stated that President Dr Mohamed Muizzu is demonstrating exemplary service as Head of State.

The Vice President made the remarks following President Dr Muizzu’s visit to Kaafu Thulusdhoo on Tuesday, where he became the first President in Maldivian history to visit all inhabited islands within a single presidential term.

In a post on his official X account, the Vice President said President Dr Muizzu assumed office with a firm resolve to serve the people closely. He noted that with the visit to Thulusdhoo, President Dr Muizzu has now completed visits to all inhabited islands in the Maldives within his first term, a feat no other Maldivian leader has achieved in such a short period.

The Vice President highlighted that during these visits, President Dr Muizzu met directly with residents, monitored the work of Government agencies, launched development projects across various islands and overseen the rapid completion and inauguration of several key initiatives.

President Dr Muizzu has said that his visits are guided by the principle of listening to citizens directly. He stressed that the practice of residents having to raise their concerns through lengthy bureaucratic processes should come to an end.
