Sultan bin Saad bin Sultan Al Muraikhi, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and member of the Cabinet of the State of Qatar, paid a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Muizzu at the President’s Office on Thursday afternoon.

During the meeting, President Dr Muizzu expressed appreciation to the Government of Qatar for its longstanding support and generous assistance to the Maldives over the past decades, noting that Qatari contributions have played a significant role in the country’s socioeconomic development.

Minister Al Muraikhi conveyed his gratitude to the President and the Government of Maldives for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him and his delegation during their visit.

The Minister reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to further strengthening its partnership with the Maldives, highlighting the close and brotherly relations between the two nations. He also expressed Qatar’s interest in exploring new avenues to enhance cooperation and expand the existing development partnership.

The discussions focused on deepening collaboration in areas of mutual interest, including energy, education, investment, culture, and healthcare, to further benefit the people of both countries.
