The Maldives is participating in the sixth Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the first time the event is hosted by the Kingdom. National table tennis champion Aishath Rafa Nazim and swimmer Imran Ali are representing the country, competing in swimming, table tennis, handball, and athletics. In the 2022 Games held in Konya, Türkiye, the Maldives won a bronze medal in women’s table tennis.
