A total of 375 youth have completed training under the Government’s National Apprenticeship Programme, with 72 per cent of graduates securing employment in the fields in which they were trained.

According to official figures, the programme has trained participants over the past two years, equipping youth with practical skills needed across key industries. Alongside apprenticeships, community upskilling sessions held in 20 islands have produced an additional 286 trained youth.

The Government has also expanded youth development through the National Service Programme, which began on 1 October. A total of 350 students are currently undergoing training, while another 350 students have already been recruited for the programme’s second batch.

These programmes reflect the Administration’s commitment to empowering youth by improving access to training, employment pathways and livelihood opportunities.
