President Dr Mohamed Muizzu is scheduled to meet with residents of Henveiru on Sunday evening, as part of an ongoing series of meetings aimed at hearing public concerns directly.
According to the Spokesperson of the President’s Office, Heena Waleed, the meeting will take place on 7 December 2025 at 8:30 p.m. at Kalaafaanu School. In an announcement on X, she invited all Henveiru residents to attend and participate.
The President’s community meetings have become a central platform for citizens to voice issues ranging from housing and employment to public services and community challenges. The Administration says the purpose of these gatherings is to ensure that the concerns of the public are heard without intermediaries.
Less than two years into his term, President Dr Muizzu has completed visits to all inhabited islands across the Maldives, engaging directly with local communities. Following this national tour, he began holding meetings in Malé City’s districts, including earlier sessions with residents of Machangolhi, Maafannu, and Vilimale’.
This is the first time a Maldivian president has conducted such a structured programme of open public dialogues. All concerns raised during these meetings are documented, respected, and forwarded to relevant authorities for action, while the President also uses the sessions to update citizens on national development efforts.
